SIRA-approved workers compensation hearing service provider
Being a SIRA-approved workers compensation hearing service provider means The Audiology Place meets the NSW regulator’s standards for qualifications, governance, and patient care. Practically, that includes being an accredited Hearing Services Program (HSP) provider and ensuring your clinician is appropriately qualified (e.g., Audiology Australia Accredited Audiologist). Approval isn’t “set and forget”: we operate under defined conditions—clinical quality, record-keeping, insurance, and transparent management of any conflicts of interest—so injured workers receive care that’s independent, evidence-based, and accountable.
SIRA approval streamlines the whole journey
For injured workers and employers, SIRA approval streamlines the whole journey. You can expect timely access to diagnostic assessment in a sound-treated environment (otoscopy, pure-tone air/bone audiometry across standard and high frequencies, tympanometry, speech testing, and OAEs where indicated), clear reports that identify the type, degree, and likely work-relatedness of hearing loss, and recommendations that align with the Clinical Framework for the Delivery of Health Services. Because we follow SIRA fee orders and procedures, billing is compliant, documentation is suitable for claim decisions, and communication with case managers, doctors, and rehabilitation providers is prompt and consistent—supporting safe, durable return-to-work outcomes.
Workers compensation patients
At The Audiology Place, workers compensation patients receive the same high standard of care as every other patient—plus the added assurance of SIRA oversight. We explain your results in plain language, provide fit-for-purpose hearing solutions (including REM-verified hearing aid fittings when required), and keep your case manager and GP in the loop with concise, actionable reports. If you think work noise has affected your hearing—or you’ve been referred as part of a claim—book with confidence knowing you’re seeing a clinic that is independent, SIRA-approved, and focused on getting you back to hearing well at work and at home.
